6 Ways To Feel Beautiful Now

Do you need a boost this afternoon?

We get it. We’ve pulled together a few tips to help you feel more confident right this moment.

1. Apply a warm shade of lipstick.beautiful-flower

If you’re not feeling your best, the first thing you can do is apply a warm shade of lip color.  Warmer colors such as peach, bronze or cinnamon help you to appear younger and more awake because they bring out the warm tones in your skin.

Kimberly shares one of her favorite lipsticks here.

2. Write a note to yourself

Sometimes it’s helpful to keep affirmations written on a notecard. Affirmations are positive, encouraging statements that affirm your greatness. They are honest. They are designed to help you progress. Affirmations also make you feel beautiful. It’s worth taking time to develop a concise affirmation that truly speaks to where you are on your journey.

You can also try bliss writing.

3. Sit up straight

Good posture means your ears, shoulders, and hips are in alignment. Not only is sitting up straight excellent for your back, it will make you both feel and appear more confident. So if you’re slouching, take a deep breath and align your spine. You’ll feel better in moments.

4. Take a walk on your own.

Sometimes it’s good to get away from the stress of the day, and take a nice walk alone.  As women, we can get lost taking care of other people’s needs that we forget about ourselves.

Check out other outdoor activities that you can try out here.

5. Remember that your physical appearance is a direct reflection of your inner life.

We often focus on our physical imperfections, without realizing thinking about what’s going on inside. When you’re putting in the work to beautify your inner life, your outer life will reflect that. People will be drawn to you like a magnet! Superficial beauty is impressive, but a woman who has a beautiful inner life is captivating.

Don’t forget, you can also feel beautiful with a make-up free face.

6. Smile

You smile to express joy and satisfaction, but did you know that smiling can actually boost your mood?

That’s right! Health researcher Ron Gutman explains that “one smile can generate the same level of brain stimulation as up to 2,000 bars of chocolate.” Smiling stimulates the brain’s reward center, making us feel satisfied.

So, if you need a lift, relax your brow and smile. Smiling is also contagious. You might brighten someone else’s day as well.

“A woman whose smile is open and whose expression is glad has a kind of beauty, no matter what she wears”

I recommend you find a spiritual community that speaks to you, or check online events like Eventbright or Meetup.

That was beautiful. I really needed to hear that today because I am a mother but I’m still feeling down today so those words helped lift me up. I needed that motivation. Thanks
