The action-packed crime thriller is based on Brian Garfield’s novel by the same name. It follows Paul Kersey, a man who “failed to protect his family” from a home invasion. He starts to take matters into his own hands, buys a gun, and starts to seek justice as a vigilante.
Paul is played by Bruce Willis, and the other stars in the cast include Vincent D’Onofrio, Elizabeth Shue, and Dean Norris.

The first trailer, released on August 3rd, gave audiences a glimpse of thrill ride that will keep them on the edge of their seats. Willis promises humor with his witty one-liners, but it is Kimberly Elise that delivers the most important line of the entire trailer:
They call him a guardian angel.
As a police officer, Elise is on the hunt to find Kersey. Though he commits crimes for the greater good, he is still committing crimes. Elise works predominantly with Dean Norris, who plays her partner.

Death Wish promises laughs, violence, and vengeance – what more could you ask of an Eli Roth film?
You may remember his earlier works, such as 2005’s indie-hit, Hostel, or the 2013 cult-horror classic, The Green Inferno. Throughout all of his films, Roth manages to move his characters through tricky settings and sticky situations. Death Wish is his first attempt at a blockbuster, and we will only know if he has the chops once the film debuts over the coveted Thanksgiving weekend.
