However, I don’t believe this holds true until you have given your all to a proclaimed goal.
Too often we rely on this truth as a form of permission to surrender and give up on whatever it is our heart desires-be it love, work or life. In that instance, it becomes more of a spiritual platitude than a universal law and truth.
Now, this doesn’t mean that if there is a lover you long for that you must stalk this person or otherwise be less than dignified in bringing them into your life. No, absolutely not!
It does mean that if you have loved genuinely, spoken from you heart, and allowed the person their freewill to act on their own accord without your own manipulation, if they choose to be with you or not, it will be so if it is meant to be, one way or the other.
Or in a work context, if you want a promotion and you have worked hard for the larger good, offered genuine positive energy and light and spoken your desire to your supervisor, handing the situation over to our Creator at that point would be appropriate, and if the promotion is meant to be yours, it most certainly will be- or not.
On the other hand, if you worked some late hours (with resentment), assisted co-workers (primarily because they help you achieve your task at hand), and speak ill of your boss and company, one really has not given their all. Additionally, the energy being sent out isn’t one that tells the Universe this is what I really want.
For “If it is meant to be, it will be” to hold true, one must work in harmony with the Universe. One must carry their own weight and show up 110% and then allow the circumstances to work out as they are meant to.
Then, when you have really, positively given all you are able to, let it go and you can walk away knowing you did your best.
If, in the end, it doesn’t go the way you wanted, you can find comfort in knowing that you did everything you could.
Remember, the Universe is always, always conspiring in your favor, so the fact that what you wanted did not come to you, in the long run you may come to find that that is the best thing ever that didn’t happen.
And if it does go as you had hoped, celebrate, give thanks, and enjoy the beautiful, beautiful thing you helped to bring into your world.
Peace and Love,
