Natural Beauty Hacks To Prevent Hair Loss & Grow Fuller Hair

Hair breakage, damage, or loss is a common complaint I hear as a hairdresser. Clients don’t realize that it’s easy to prevent hair loss if you use the right tools and create the right natural hair routine.

People don’t realize that some of their products may be leading to mild or even serious damage. While some products and tools may seem promising, they might actually make your hair worse, leading to unwanted stress, inducing hair damage or even hair loss.

By avoiding those practices, it’s easy to prevent hair loss. Also, very simple “life hacks,” or easy-to-do natural hair treatments, can allow your hair – your crowning glory – to grow properly and stay healthy.

For people dealing with hair loss problems, try out the natural hair care regimen that I have laid out below. Regardless of your hair type, it may help you regain the thickness, growth, and color of your natural hair.

How To Improve Your Wash Regimen To Prevent Hair Loss

1. Create Your Own Gentle Shampoo & Conditioner

Simple Natural D-I-Y Shampoo:

To make your own shampoo, start with your simple, holistic ingredients. The most used in homemade shampoo are the shikakai and reetha.

  1. Soak either ingredient in water overnight.
  2. The next morning, heat the ingredients for at least 10 minutes. Once it boils, the heat should be reduced and the mixture must be strained.
  3. After doing so, the liquid is ready to be used as a shampoo. Remember that other organic powders may also do.

Recommended usage:

Simple Natural D-I-Y Conditioner:

This is easier to make compared to the shampoo. Homemade conditioners can contain as little as two ingredients like banana and honey.

  1. Blend banana and honey and wear like a hair mask for 5-10 minutes, then wash out thoroughly.
  2. Conditioners are designed to be applied on the hair length. Specifically, this should be applied on the tips or ends in order to prevent hair frizziness and split ends.

Recommended usage:

Use your D-I-Y conditioner twice as often as you wash your hair. You can use this conditioner on a daily basis.

2. Before Using Shampoo, Apply Oil

Oil treatments for the hair have been proven effective.

It is highly recommended that you use natural oils, such as olive oil, coconut oil, and almond oil. The application can be undertaken using your bare hands but you also have the option to use cotton balls. The oil should be directly applied to the scalp and left there for at least 20 minutes. If you wish, you can also apply oil on the hair lengths while you massage your scalp.

Recommended usage:

You can apply oil on your scalp every time. Or if you think this is costly, you have the option to apply oil at least twice a week.

3.  Powder Treatment

Similar to the one above, this involves application on the scalp. This practice, however, requires a longer setting time of 30-45 minutes. For this, you can mix various powders like methi and amla powder.

Recommended usage:

In a span of ten days, powder treatment can at least be done once.

4. Rinse Your Hair With Tea Decoction

In order to achieve shiny and smooth hair, you can make use of tea decoction while rinsing your hair.

Recommended usage:

Try this rinsing practice once every ten days.

2. Apply Leave-in Conditioner

Leave-in conditioner is commercially available, but I recommend the natural alternative. Try aloe vera juice or gel. Apply it to your hair while it is still damp. Another substitute would be coconut milk. Applying leave-in conditioner is supposed to make your hair more manageable.

Recommended Usage:

Highly dependent on the type of hair you have, you can use any of the abovementioned every time after washing your hair.

More Tips for Better Results

Your Ends Matter The Most

Your Ends Matter The MostIn undertaking any regimen, it should be remembered that any treatment must be focused on the tips or ends of your hair. This is in line with the fact that the tips are the oldest part of the hair thus making it more prone to damages.

This does not mean that other section or parts of the hair are healthy and not prone to such damages. It just means that naturally, it is the tips that are the weakest part of the hair.

With this reality, we should take the time care for and protect the ends. If it already has damage such as split ends, you had better get a trim because in the long term it can lead to more damage and even hair loss.

Develop your very own night time regimen for your Hair

Hair moisturizing is undeniably important to maintain the health of the hair. By the end of the day or at night, your hair experiences more dryness after being exposed to heat the whole day.

Thus, before going to bed, it would be a good habit to spray natural hair moisturizers. The most popular one is the shea butter mixture applied onto the scalp. To avoid pillow stains, you can choose to wear a bonnet.
