RECIPE: Chocolate Mint Irish Smoothie for St. Patrick’s Day

Green smoothies aren’t always green. And this Chocolate Mint Irish Smoothie is one of my favorites.

For my friends who come over and feel intimidated by green smoothies, I love this smoothie. Because I can still offer them a ton of the vital nutrients in greens, but blanket it in chocolate.

And when I add a little mint, they swear they are eating a melted peppermint patty!

Chocolate Mint Irish Smoothie


  • 1/2 cups coconut milk
  • 3-4 tbsp. raw cacao powder
    1-2 scoops your favorite chocolate protein powder
  • 2 cups  greens of choice  (I like kale)
  • 1 cup  fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen  mango
  • 1/8 cup  coconut nectar or  your favorite sweetener
  • 1 mint leaf
  • 1/2 cup ice
  1. Blend well. Adjust sweetener to taste
