Red White & Blue Popsicles Recipe

Are you ready for July 4th? Show your patriotic spirit with these tasty, all-natural, homemade red, white, and blue popsicles!

Whether you’re lounging inside to beat the heat or having your own backyard barbecue, what better way to cool down and celebrate Independence Day than with an ice-cold refreshing treat?  These popsicles are made entirely of all-natural fruit ingredients, adapted from this recipe at Elana’s Pantry.

Red White and Blue Popsicles

Ingredients

1 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries
1/2 cup of coconut water
Sweetener of your choice, to taste

1/2 cup of full fat coconut milk
Sweetener of your choice, to taste

1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup of coconut water
Sweetener of your choice, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a blender, blend strawberries, water, and sweetener
  2. Scoop the mixture to fill 1/3 of each popsicle mold
  3. Freeze popsicles for 40 minutes
  4. Blend coconut milk and sweetener
  5. Remove popsicles from freezer; scoop the coconut mixture to fill 1/3 of each mold, and insert popsicle sticks
  6. Freeze popsicles for 40 minutes
  7. Blend blueberries, water, and sweetener
  8. Remove popsicles from freezer and fill the last of the popsicle mold with the blueberry mixture.
  9. Freeze popsicles for 1 hour
  10. Serve and enjoy!

The best part about making these delicious popsicles is that you can always modify the ingredients according to your dietary restrictions or goals. Whether you want to substitute regular water for coconut water, use maple syrup as the sweetener or forgo the sweetness altogether, homemade treats give the opportunity to be extra mindful of your health and taste buds.
