I’m Turning 50-Years-Old This Month! Here’s How I’m Simplifying…

Giftbasket Kimberly EliseThis is an extra big year for me. Not only because I turn 50 this month (yep, I do), but also because my family and I just moved out of our family home – the home we’ve shared for over 10 years!

And also because my youngest daughter will be graduating high school and heading off to college in just a couple months. My baby all grown up…(tears rolling)

We all have changes in life. That’s one of life’s few guarantees – nothing stays the same forever.

Sometimes this seems harsh and traumatizing and other times, change is welcome and actually feels overdue.  My daughter CAN’T WAIT to graduate!

When we are faced with new circumstances, rather than clinging to the old, it is a wonderful opportunity to release what is no longer serving us and make room for the new.

All the things in our lives, relationships, homes, friends, environments, all bring their own energies so when we release (or remove) those things, we allow fresh new energies in.

Admittedly, this isn’t always easy. When we moved from our old house, there were a lot of things we all had to give away, donate, and sell in order to simplify and minimize our lives in the ways we desired.Alchemy 27

Some of these things were dear to our hearts, but we also realized that though we may have loved them, we weren’t using these things and others could benefit from them.

Likewise, when we moved into our new home, we had space to allow what is meant for us now to come into our lives.

Releasing and allowing is a beautiful process when we trust it. What can you release this season? Are you finding it challenging?

Well, just breathe and let go…wonderful things are waiting in the wings.

Can relate to this. Our twins are graduating high school AND we’re moving/downsizing. So many changes (and so hard to decide what should go/stay) but we too are hoping for “wonderful things waiting in the wings.”
