Juicing can seem overwhelming, but it is beneficial to everyone.
Juicing is a wonderful way to include vegetables into your regiment (I hate the word diet, another topic). You have probably heard that juicing removes fiber, but WEBMD suggests that if you miss the fiber, you can add some of the pulp back into the juice. And within 20 minutes, your energy level should shoot up!
Those nutrients are able to assimilate more easily giving you more energy.
How To Start Juicing: Improve Your Energy Today
Newbie Juice Recipe
- 2 Apple
- 1 cup of spinach
- ¼ Lemon
Remember to wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly, even if they are organic.
1. You need a base, let’s do 2 apples.
Apples are great for cardiovascular health and helps cleanse the system.
2. Time to add a vegetables!
One of my favorites is spinach (1 cup) a good source of chorine. It’s also said to improve mental function and supplies folic acid. Spinach is a powerhouse high in chlorophyll and a good source of calcium, iron, protein and potassium.
3. Lemons are a great addition to any juice.
Take a whole lemon cut it into 4 parts and use ¼ of it. Citrus fruits are high in antioxidants and are all-around great for cancer prevention.
My ratio is always 60/40 fruit to vegetable when starting out.
As you get used to the taste, juice more veggies and pull back on fruit.
Fruit is high in sugar, and will off-set the nutritional benefit of vegetables if consumed too often.
Always consult a doctor before starting any nutritional plan. Juice is best consumed within 15 minutes of juicing. If preparing for later utilize a mason jar or an air tight glass container to maintain freshness.
