World Nutella Day | Recipe: Kimberly’s Favorite Simple Breakfast Cinnamon Toast

Happy World Nutella Day! While Nutella isn’t vegan, there are many vegan substitutes that are comparable and delicious to spread on your toast, cookies, and fruit, and even blend into your favorite smoothies.

One of my favorite Nutella-like spreads right now is Manna Organic Cinnamon Date Butter. And as we continue our clean eating conversation and goals for 2018, I just had to share this recipe with you.

One of my favorite simple breakfasts (or snacks) is my vegan cinnamon buttery toast. Try making it this weekend, if you’re feeling inspired!

Vegan Cinnamon Buttery Toast

Ingredients

  • A slice of vegan gluten-free bread
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or your favorite Nut Milk)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • a pinch of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
  • 1 tbs vegan butter (like Earth Balance All-Natural Buttery Spread)
  • Manna Organics Cinnamon Date Butter

Instructions

  1. Blend together almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and sea salt.
  2. Melt Earth Balance (or other vegan butter) in a pan.
  3. Dip bread in mixture then heat in the pan till golden brown.
  4. Spread browned bread with Manna Organics Cinnamon Date Butter.
  5. Add a little maple syrup if you want more sweetness.

And there you have it! A quick and easy breakfast to have alongside your morning coffee or tea.
